2008 Town Criers British Championships! Oyez, oyez, oyez! Watch and listen to 23 town criers from all over Britain compete for the British Championships. Saturday 5th July 2008, 10.00 - 4.00 pm (with a lunch break). In the Market Place in Alnwick. Promises to be a noisy, colourful and lively event! Free open-air concerts in Alnwick Market Place during the day (collections are taken), and reasonably priced concerts in Alnwick Playhouse in the evenings.
